ACROBATICS

BASIC INFO:
This class is for our pre-intermediate through advanced dancers.  This class has a strong emphasis on basic knowledge and technique of acrobatic skills based on each individual's level.

DRESS CODE:
Wear comfortable, tight fitted clothing that doesn't restrict your range of motion, and shows off your body lines. Hair must be pulled away from face. You will not need any shoes for this class, you will be taught barefoot.

BALLET

BASIC INFO:
This is a technique-driven class for our pre-intermediate through advanced dancers. With Ballet technique being the foundation of movement, this class includes barre work, across the floor variations, learning control, and finding your center.

DRESS CODE:
GIRLS:
 
Solid Leotard, any style or material is acceptable. Tights: Ballet Pink, Jazzy Tan or Suntan are permitted. A bun is mandatory for all Ballet Classes. Dance warm ups may be worn only until your muscles are warm. It is suggested that cover-ups be worn to and from class to help keep our dancer's modest and muscles warm. Never enter or leave the studio in only your dance attire. Leather or Canvas Split Sole Ballet Slippers
BOYS:
Black dance pants, sweat pants, or Hip Hop pants. Tucked in T-shirt or muscle shirt. Black or White Split Sole Ballet Slippers

BALLROOM

BASIC INFO:
Bringing a partner is not necessary, but they are more than welcome!  You may drop into the class for $10 each week or pay $40 per month to reserve a spot in class for the month.

DRESS CODE:
You can wear socks or be barefoot, clothing that you feel comfortable moving in; dresses, a button-up and nice pants, gym shorts, leggings and a t-shirt. Whatever you are comfortable in!

Offered for ages 13 and up.

CHOREOGRAPHY

BASIC INFO:
This class is for any dancers ages 13-18 interested in developing and understanding the basis of creating work.  Some elements used throughout this class include improvisation, creating movement as an individual and with others through teamwork.

CONTEMPORARY & FREEFORM

BASIC INFO:
This class is made for our pre-advanced and advanced dancers to explore new types of movement through different forms of improvisation, grounded work, feeling and emotion, and weight sharing.  This class is built to help dancers figure out their own body and what movement feels right.  Improvisation and Free Form is a great way to work on confidence through taking value in this hard skill.

DANCE HISTORY

BASIC INFO:
This is a 3 day class for our dancers ages 10 to 13 interested in learning more about the history of different dance styles and how they have grown and developed.

DANCE TEAM PREP

BASIC HIGH SCHOOL INFO:
This camp is offered during our Summer Session will be led by Paige Dixon who is currently on the University of Cincinnati Dance Team.

We will be covering technique required by local middle & high school dance teams & ending the week with a mock tryout & feedback to help dancers feel more comfortable with the tryout process!

BASIC HIGH SCHOOL INFO:
This is for our pre-intermediate through advanced dancers interested in leaving their Ballet technique at the door. Our Hip Hop classes are based with fun and fast paced movement throughout combinations each week.

Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in and doesn't restrict your range of motion. Clean gym shoes/sneakers that haven't been worn outside. Students will not be permitted on Marley floor with shoes worn outside.

JAZZ

BASIC INFO:
This class is for our pre-intermediate through advanced Jazz dancers. Our Jazz classes are used to explore different types of jazz that are popular within the industry today such as: contemporary jazz, musical theatre jazz, old school jazz, upbeat jazz, etc. There is technique involved within this class also including leaps, turns, across the floor work and combinations. This class is all about trying new things! This class is built specifically to help our intermediate through advanced dancers work on those areas in which they wish to improve upon and work towards new turns and leaps they have not done before, and proper Jazz technique.

DRESS CODE:
Wear comfortable, tight fitted clothing that doesn't restrict your range of motion, and shows off your body lines. Tan Leather Jazz Shoes, Dance Paws, Tan Canvas Lyrical Shoes, or Barefoot.

LEAPS AND TURNS

BASIC INFO:
Interested in working on pirouettes, fouettes, and different leaps?  This class is built specifically to help our intermediate through advanced dancers work on those areas in which they wish to improve upon and work towards new turns and leaps they have not done before.

PARENT AND ME

BASIC INFO:
This dance class is made for developing coordination through basic movements like skipping, jumping, hopping on one foot, balancing, and interacting through creative songs with one parent at each class.

DRESS CODE:
Dance or play clothes. Clean gym shoes or Ballet shoes. Clean gym shoes/sneakers that haven't been worn outside. Students will not be permitted on Marley floor with shoes worn outside.

POINTE

BASIC INFO:
Hatha Vinyasa flow with guided meditative Components.

DRESS CODE:
Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in and doesn't restrict your range of motion. Barefoot.

PRINCESS CAMP

BASIC INFO:
Princess camp is a four-day camp held during our summer session each year.  This camp involves fun activities such as: dancing, crafts, snack time, and special time spent with real princesses for storytime, and learning about proper princess etiquiette in dance. Princess camp is two hours each day throughout our four days together.  At the end of the week we have a special showing for our families!

DRESS CODE:
All participants must be potty trained

STRETCH AND STRENGTH

BASIC INFO:
This class is for our pre-intermediate through advanced dancers interested in going the extra mile with taking care of their bodies and their muscles in proper ways. Stretch and Strengthen is great for being proactive against injury prevention, but also great for dancers working past injuries as well. This class uses some pilates movement. It's great for working on balance for pirouettes, flexibility, and agility to raise height for jumps and leaps.

DRESS CODE:
Wear clothes to show off your lines that are tight fitted and comfortable to move in that don't restrict your range of motion. Hair must be pulled away from face. Dance warm ups may be worn only until your muscles are warm. It is suggested that coverups be worn to and from class to help keep our dancer's modest and muscles warm. Never enter or leave the studio in only your dance attire. Barefoot.

TAP

BASIC INFO:
Individual Tap classes are offered to students ages 8 and up. This class focuses on rhythm, musicality and timing. All classes begin with an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and combinations. Pre-Intermediate through advanced classes work on further developing skills, increasing speed as well as dynamics and musicality through traditional tap styles and rhythm tap, and focusing on clarity of sounds.  Students continue to further develop the skills learned in Tap 2.  There is an increased emphasis placed on proper technique, execution and terminology.  All tap classes are 60 minutes for levels 2-4.

DRESS CODE:
Wear clothing that is comfortable to move in and doesn't restrict your range of motion. Black Oxford Tie Tap Shoes.

ZUMBA

BASIC INFO:
Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements with choreography incorporating Hip Hop, Salsa, Merengue, Mambo, and more creating an exciting and dynamic workout.  This is a great upbeat workout for everyone!
