Brianna Mullins is a Junior at Northern Kentucky University pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Dance with an Entrepreneurial Studies Minor. She has been dancing for 17 years starting her training at Kiddie Kappers Dance studio and their competition program in Lexington, Kentucky from 2002-2017. She has extensively trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical/contemporary, musical theatre, acro, and hip hop. She began teaching as a dance instructor when she was 14 and fell in love with teaching immediately! In her first year at NKU, she danced in Emerging Choreographer’s Showcase in 2017 and 2018 (choreographed), Dance’18 and ‘19, and Choreographed the 2017 First Year Show, An Evening With Edgar Allen Poe. She also performed outside of NKU dancing in Contemporary Dance Theater Vincent Thomas piece What’s Going on? at the Aronoff Center in 2017 and In the Performance and Time Arts show in 2018 (Mandie Reiber’s piece Invisible) at Contemporary Dance Theater, Cincinnati. She was also a part of the ‘Mourning the Creation of Racial Categories’ project film at NKU in May 2018 and in a film choreographed by Stephanie Brummer at NKU in April 2019. Brianna is extremely excited for RDC this year to share her passion and love from this art form and to watch each of her students grow.
